I was born and raised in the Austin area and started my career as a designer at a young age. My first clients (my parents) didn't really ask for my help, but I took it upon myself to rearrange the household furniture on a regular basis! Unlike other kids my age, my 8th birthday wish list consisted of a new floral bedding set and coordinating decorative pillows! Basically, making my space beautiful has always been a passion of mine!

I started my "Project Ugly House" blog in 2013 when my Husband and I decided to sell our cookie cutter home and purchase a 1973 fixer upper. The blog was a fun way to share our journey and keep our friends and family up to date on our progress with the house. After a few years of blogging, I started receiving inquiries from visitors asking if I provided design services. I always responded with a "no", since I was just a communications major who was working for a toddler (aka MOMMING). Luckily, I was approached by a wonderful woman that believed in me and said, "If you don't do this, you should - and I want an appointment!". I listened to her and am so glad I did! I had so much fun helping her create a home that she loved (on a budget, might I add), that I decided to start my business in the fall of 2017.
